A small grin was evident upon his perfect, porcelain face; closing the door behind him immediately, he stood in the doorway for a few moments, scanning the cafe. His arms were crossed across his chest, his right eyebrow raised in curiosity as his piercing violet eyes looked over every inch. In the corners a few lonely people could be seen, eating and drinking quietly to themselves; and every few tables or so had a couple people or so sitting contently, whispering amongst themselves. How entertaining. He thought sarcastically to himself. Guess i've got to shake things up a bit around here.
He walked up to the back of the cafe at the bar-style seats, directly infront of the kitchen and everything else. He sat lazily on the stool, his head in his hands as he gazed around the cafe once more. A woman came up to the bar, a notepad in hand as she asked calmly, What would you like today? His eyes slowly but steadily moved over towards her form. "Surprise me." He simply requested, tapping his fingers on the ledge before him. She blinked, and nodded quickly. Okay, sir. And she walked away.
Come to think of it.. I don't know how good a 'surprise' in this place is. He jerked his head up, wishing to take back his order but the woman was gone. He let out an aggrivated sigh. He sat up now, in a different mood then he was before, his arms crossed again and his eyebrows furrowed. Just perfect. "What do I gotta do to get a water around here?" He called, and before he knew it there was a glass of water infront of him. "Impressive..." He thought to himself, and began to stir the straw which was placed inside the glass.

Ragdoll certainly made an entrance as she came through the doors, falling flat on your face could do that to someone. "Doorjambs, the fuckers..." she cursed, looking over her shoulder darkly at what caused her to trip before picking herself up off the ground and brushing off her dark overalls. She didnt bother looking around, Ragdoll was hungry and all she really wanted was some food.
She honestly didn't care what, she was just sick of living off things in the forest while she went on a four-day information-gathering trip. The good news was that she got paid, and it was more than enough for her housing bill--with a couple bucks left over for food and the bar. But, first things first, food and then bar.
She sat down on a bar stool in front of the kitchen "Waitress?" she called, moving her head a bit to peer into the kitchen and catch a waitress's eye; who then promptly turned and ignored her. "Hey! I know you can see me!" she exclaimed, frowning.
Still the girl made so sign of coming over to her, continuing to talk to the other waitress. "Fine, see if i give you a tip!" Ragdoll directed at her before saying, just loud enough that the waitress could hear, "Idiot girl..." Ragdoll sighed and reached across the bar to where some orders were waiting, stealing a glass of apple juice and taking a sip.

Upon hearing somebody enter, his eyes shifted from infront of him to the door- spotting somebody on the ground flat on their face, quickly composing themselves as they walked towards the bar. His eyebrow raised in curiosity once more, as it did often, but this time he was genuinely curious about this girl. What is she? He wondered to himself, examining her as she made her way towards the area where he was sitting.
He turned around slowly, stirring the straw in his water once more, looking into the glass before he realized she was now right next to him. He turned his head towards the girl, who was all over the place looking for the waitress' attention. She blinked. Not even I made that kind of entrance- this girl is something else. He turned away from her again towards his glass of water, smirking to himself for a moment. Maybe this place is more interesting then it seems, afterall. Full of random people and creatures who weren't the morally sound, prissy type he was used to being around.
Then again, he hadn't taken much time to examine the place just yet- nonetheless his first impressions were endless forests then a lonely cafe. This gave him a little hope that maybe, just maybe, he wasn't doomed the complete and utter boredom until he found a way out of here.
"Feisty are we?"
He simply retorted, his eyes shifting from the glass once more to the girl, who had just taken a drink off of a tray.

She turned her head to look at who the voice belonged to, a guy with a rather odd taste in clothing (but then again, what isn't odd here?) who was sipping a water. He did seem rather interesting, (she had to admit she was a bit curious) maybe in the way he presented himself? She hadn't even noticed he was sitting there until he spoke. Really, a thief like her should have that kind of stealth. And if she wasn't drawing such a question mark about who he was, maybe she would have been embarrassed about her horrible entrance.
"If by feisty you mean hungry, then yes" she replied, frowning to herself as she glared at her hungry stomach "four days without a decent meal; not something I recommend" She finished, shifting a bit to glare at the waitress's back again through the window. "And I swear if that girl doesn't take my order soon she's going to get one very feisty punch to the face" Ragdoll said, loud enough for the waitress to hear as she, no doubt, rolled her eyes.

His eyebrow remained raised in curiosity- one of the trademarks of his overall appearance, as well as his tantalizing grin with was usually spread across his face. However, at the moment, the latter wasn't present at the moment, as he was quite hungry himself. By the look on her face when he first spoke, he knew exactly what she was thinking- most likely something along the lines of.. wait, is that a guy? What is he wearing? Is his hair naturally that color?] These were things he faced on a daily basis, but it seemed that he wouldn't stand out too much in this place. Whatever, wherever it was.
His violet hues set upon her for a moment, glancing from the girl to the waitress she was directly speaking of; his grin growing slowly across his porcelain voice. He lifted his body slightly from the slumped form of which it was taking, taking a sip from the glass and then looking at the girl. "What kind of place is this? How long have you been here?" He asked simply, thirsting for answers, and curious as to if he was the only newcomer. If he was, so be it- all the more interesting, right?
He leaned over the bar slightly, his eyes wandering to the numerous orders infront of their faces. He took a fry from one of the orders and ate it instinctly, it being much longer than four days since he had eaten. Homunculi didn't require eating to survive; however the human still living inside of them gave them the feeling of hunger nonetheless. "Four days, eh? Try two weeks." He took the bag of fries from the plate, placing them infront of the girl, figuring that would tie her over until the waitress felt like coming along. Why was he feeling so generous? He wasn't quite sure. But if he didn't follow rules and common etiquette in his world, there was little chance he was going to follow it in this one.

She stopped trying to bore a hole in the waitress's back with her eyes as the guy spoke up again. And then she looked at him, ah so he was new here? That explained it. Usually Ragdoll could scrounge up something in her memory banks about someone here. "What kind of place is this, I'm not sure. There's alot of hate here; and politics..." she trailed off, wondering if he was the type of person to even care about the war going on. As far as she thought, exploiting either side was a great moneymaker--but aside from that she could really care less.
"I haven't exactly been here long" she stated cautiously, thinking it over in her head. Had she lost track of when she came? Maybe... "Well, long enough that I think I know my way around fairly well... Where did you come from? You just get here?" she asked curiously, wondering if he came through a mirror as well. If it didn't sound so foolish, maybe she would have told him how she came through a mirror. But, it seemed to risky a thing to say.
she was cut from her internal meandering as the bag of fries appeared in front of her. She blinked, looking from the bag to the guy quickly before eating a fry. "Two weeks? How is that even possible?" She questioned astonishingly, wondering if he was bred from one of the weird inhabitants of the mirror realm to accomplish such a feat. "Thanks, by the way" She added, meaning the fries. She might as well give up on that ditsy waitress, besides this conversation might prove to be interesting...

He kept his violet eyes steady upon the girl for a moment as she talked, but they eventually shifted away to whatever caught his eyes at that specific moment. He listened contently, not exactly having any clearer of an idea of where he had wound but gained atleast some kind of knowledge. He took the last sip of his water before pushing it aside, nodding as he continued to talk, until she arrived at the question about him being new here.
"Well, I think i've been here only for a few days..." He stated simply, looking down at the tiles beneath them for a moment before his eyes met the girl's. "I came from somewhere very, very different from here." Is all he could say. His memories had become a big hazy since he'd arrived. He knew the people from his past, he knew events that had happened, and who he was, and so on- but some of the parts of his memory had been broke down into bits and pieces. The finer details he could not recall.
He smirked lightly at her second question, removing his eyes from her and looking at the kitchen before them, where nobody seemed to be doing anything- regardless of the waiting customers. "Not much of an appetite I guess." He stated simply, the easiest way he could answer truthfully without getting into much detail. There was a large chance that anybody that wasnt from where he came from would would either think it's a load of bullsh*t, or just not get it. Then again, considering where he was now, maybe the chances weren't as high as he thought.
"Say.."
He said, pausing for a moment, resting his amethyst eyes upon the girl once more.
"How did you get here, anyways?"

He was rather... fidgety. He kept glancing all over, not necessarily making her annoyed, but the action was adding to her curiosity. He seemed to be listening, after all. Just... fidgety. What really added to the curious factors was his answers. He really couldn't get more vague then that, could he? But the statement also made her wonder--she'd come from someplace very different, too...
She continued in her thoughts, merely shrugging at his statement and deciding to let it drop. He didn't seem to want to discuss it. She stared at the fries as she contemplated a bit, this new guy was was a bit odd--and curse her sense of curiousness, but he was proving to be awful intriguing, too. Then she froze, slowly looking up from her fries and staring at him. She blinked at him, getting rid of her previous wide eyes at his question, before she looked away and contemplated a bit... "Well, I could tell you, but I doubt you'd really believe me" She decidedly said, as honestly as possible.

The grin appeared across his face once more, removing his eyes from her and staring off into the kitchen before them. There were few things, considering his experience in life- that he wouldn't believe. Then again, knowing this place he has fallen into, there was probably a certain element of surprise he wasn't expecting. However, he was curious as to how other people arrived here as well, knowing if all arrived here by mirror- or if he was just crazy. Well, okay that was already debatable- but in this places terms, crazy. He knew he was here for sure; he could feel his skin, feel the bar before him; he could smell the food, he was talking to the girl sitting next to him.
"Could it have something to do with a mirror?"
He prompted, keeping his eyes straight ahead for a few moments. That, of all things, he remember clearly; he was in a fit of rage, yelling and stalking around the hotel room. In frustration he had smashed his fists through the large, stand-up mirror; and instead of shattering and revealing the wooden frame, there was an entrance. Black fog flowed out of the mirror, as a slight chill entered the room. Curiously he put his hand inside, revealing depth. He then entered his right leg, and then what felt like the grip of an invisible hand pulled him inside. Before he knew it, he was laying on the forest floor which eventually led him here.
Snapping out of his memory, he blinked, the kitchen once again coming into view and he realized he was still sitting there. He tapped the bar before them for a moment with his elegant fingers, before stopping and looking at the girl once more.

She coughed lightly, a fry sticking in her throat as she attempted to swallow. Mirror? He'd said mirror right? So she wasn't the only one? It was comforting to know that much. When she'd first gotten here, she couldn't help but think it was just a dream. An incredibly vivid dream. But she could feel pain and, more importantly, she hadn't been sleeping when she first arrived. It was a darker thought that she would never get out of this place, well, not entirely. Ragdoll couldn't say her old life was better than this.
"Yeah, it did actually. I was--" she hesitated, wondering if it was best to leave out that part of the story. "I was finishing a job and got caught up in a... complication. I ended up taking a tumble through a mirror" Ragdoll finished, wincing internally at how it sounded aloud. It certainly didn't sound like she was a law-abiding citizen exactly. Truth be told, she'd been a rather shady character. Well, she supposed she still was. "And you? A mirror as well?" she asked, fixing her eyes on the guy and waiting curiously.
