A long time ago in a Galaxy far far away...
Hundreds of years have past since the Battle of Yavin. Ancient prophecies have recently come to light, and spread like wildfire through the galaxy at large,
"Those who don't fight shall see the ground under their feet be taken by a greater force."
Various scholars had their various interpretations; civilians took it to mean that their governments were leading them to ruin; the Sith saw it as a warning of their impending doom if they did not end their age old enemies, the Jedi, once and for all. The Jedi, having learned how the Sith were interpreting this prophecy, have decided to fight back against the Sith's plan to eliminate them. The civilians are caught in the middle of the perpetual war, fearing their demise, and they have joined together into rebellious factions across the systems, fighting their own governments and anyone else they deem a threat to their very existence. The governments of each world reacted to these threats, treating the rebels as terrorists and mobilizing their armies against them. The Sith took this as a chance to sow discord and chaos, using the rebels to weaken the governments, and therefore, the Jedi who support them. The Jedi do as they have always done; try to maintain peace, right wrongs, and defend themselves against the Sith.
Current Events:
"Those beneath the light will see that the day gets dark, earlier and earlier each night, day after day until the light shines no more. The darkness shadows all that was once light, overcoming everything but a flicker of light in a galaxy far far away."
A new prophecy has come to light that says the fall of the Jedi is inevitable. The Sith believe this means that the Jedi will fall to their hands and have unleashed an onslaught of attacks on them, and because of this the Governments are left to their own devices, feeling the wrath of their once-loyal subjects. Driven by fear, the rebels feel the strength of the darkness behind them and push forward, destroying significant landmarks that once represented the power of their own planets.
Do you want to take over the universe with the Sith? Help fight against tyranny with the Rebels or do you choose a different path? Help the Jedi establish peace once again on the planets? How about fighting your own people with the deadly force of the Government? The fate of the galaxy is in your hands. What side do you choose?
