Saphira needed no protection,she had kept everything locked away in a deep dark place and now she was being all sappy on this guy.Funny how a shell you have formed can be so easy to penetrate by a single person,but in a way she was kinda relieved.This side of her had been lost and scattered to the winds,after the killing of her parents she went completely insane and then landed in this world of mayhem and foolishness.Where no one was to be trusted,and a friend or ally could easily stab you in the back.

Feeling his grip lighten on her,the tears still lingering on her eyes.They went a little wide feeling his lips against hers in a kiss,then he pulled away and wiped the remants of tears still soaked to her cheeks.Saphira quickly stiffened up incase spies might be listening,it would be wise to go somewhere else then here.But should the king ever find out about this,and this had been the first time in a long time since someone had comforted her.No one had done so when she came here,it was just blood and war.But also could she really trust Mahea,she wondered.

"Alright......".

Mahea smiled at her and took her hand as he began walking leading the way to where he sometimes stayed. The place was always clean but it was a temporary home. He didn't want her to know where he stayed in the castle, he rarely stayed in the castle though for everything he had to do for the king. He traveled around the world so much that his house in the castle could be considered a guest room that he just visits and boy was this gonna be a good visit. Whenever he saw her she was so angry and hard but now he had the chance of a life time to break that and make her smile and soft. He couldn't give up that chance but she was calling him like she had a scent, he just wanted to stop there and kiss her but he knew they had to get somewhere.

Without his scent he felt awkward, he didn't know if it was working but felt good that she said alright so obviously she was semi into him. As they came upon an inn he smirked because that's where he was taking her. Always clean always comfortable. As they entered he threw a bag of gold on the receptionist desk and walked right up the stairs knowing exactly where he was going. As they reached the door he sighed softly in relief then opened the door.

As they walked in he sighed softly wanting to lay down being a little bit tired from the actual work he put in. He took off his coat and dropped it on the floor and kicked off his shoes then laid down in the bed. He looked up at her and smiled then patted the bed next to where he was laying.

"I know this is the part where your supposed to get naked and have sex with me but I don't want you to. I want you to just come here and lay down with me, you mean more to me then just a piece of meat. I want you to feel comfortable with me, I wanna kiss you." He smiled at her winking a little bit being playful.

Saphira just let him lead her to where he was going,for the first time in her life all these feelings we're pouring out of her.Those feelings which she had kept bottled up inside and only showed the harsher and more sinister side of herself,how could a man like this from just talking so sweet make her break out from the darkness and come back into the light.She said nothing as they walked,a small frown upon her lips wondering if this was a good idea or not.Coming upon a inn they walked inside,seeing Mahea toss a bag of gold onto the counter she quirked a brow.

This is where he was staying,when he was not in the castle.Saphira had a small room at the palace,she never complained about it.At least it got her food and a warm place to sleep at night,and when she usually sees the king she rarely meets eye to eye with him.The aura he gives off it enough to make someone's blood run cold or drain from they're body,following Mahea up the stairs they seemed to arrive at a room.

Upon entering she crossed her arms and still had that brow quirked,was this suppose to arouse her by him taking his coat off and kicking his shoes away.Turning away slightly when he offered a place beside him,she didn't think it was a good idea.Her heart was saying to go over there,but her mind was screaming to just leave and head back to the castle.Hearing him speak after a long silence,her eye twitched abit as she turned her face towards him.

"This is going way to fast for me,laying down then kissing you will only lead to lust".

Mahea looked up at her as she said that laying down and kissing would only lead to lust. He smirked and shook his head side to side. He knew he could control it and once in his life he actually wanted to be honest to a girl. He didn't know why but he felt like he was home when he was around her. He wasn't confused how he got there or felt lost or out of place, he felt normal but would never share these emotions with her.

"I promise I will not try anything sly like that. I will be completely honest, we don't even need to kiss. I just want to hold you. Keep you warm, long has it been since I really held someone in my arms and just let go instead of being who everyone says I am. Give me the chance, you don't even need to face me, I just want to know that you are willing to give a person like me a chance and maybe you'll see the true side of me, the loving gentle side not the horny dog." He shrugged his shoulders at her, he had a gentle non seductive or evil face, he was just wondering if he could talk her into the bed. He really didn't want to have sex with her just see if he could lose the temptations that ever popped into his head.

Mahea smiled at her lifting up the blanket next to him trying to get her to crawl into bed with him. Awaited to see what her response was hoping to hear or see the one he so dearly wanted.

She was still hesitant but made her way towards the bed,she undid her weapons from around her waist and set them aside.If he promised not to try anything she would lay beside him,so when she got close enough she slid one leg onto the bed and then the other before sliding onto the bed under the covers.Her eyes watching him closely she slid into a laying down position,and turned her body away from him staring towards a nearby wall.

"You said nothing would happen,so I am holding you to your word".

He watched as she got into the bed and smiled. Slowly he saw her warming up to him, slowly beginning to trust him. She trusted him a little bit, that's the only explanation she could have to get into the bed. He looked at her facing the wall away from him. He sighed softly looking over at her and the ceiling.

"Could you at least face me or lay on your back. We can talk or something. If I wanted to look at someones back I would go wait in line somewhere." He couldn't help but laugh. He slid his arm under her head trying to get her to face him of at least lay on her back.

"I'm not trying anything besides turn you so your on your back. I like when girls use my arm as a pillow. It comforts me." He smiled looking over at her seeing if she would face him or even acknowledge him.

Feeling his arm slide under her head,she slowly turned towards him until they're eyes met.This was the only reason she didn't want to face him,Saphira could feel her heart beating loudly in her chest like a drum.Why couldn't he just talk to her back,now that she was facing him and looking at his eyes there would be no stopping her from kissing him.But then it would be her own fault for allowing that to happen wouldn't it,breaking a promise she made to herself of not wanting to kiss him or get involved in anything that had to do with lust.He was making it hard,very hard to resist him.

"And how many girls have used your arm as a pillow".

Did she even want to know the answer,no but she could take a wild guess.Laying on her back,she used one of her hands to caress his cheek.Leaning in she kissed him,letting her hand slide down the side of his cheek to his neck then down to his chest.Saphira was silently cursing herself in her head,but what would his reaction be to this.If he pushed her away so be it,but when two people of the opposite sex we're in the same bed it was hard to qualm that urge of emtions.

He smiled when she turned and faced him. From the look of her he could tell that her thoughts were running wild. The question that she asked really surprised her and the answer would surprise her. He wanted to lean in and kiss her but he had made a promise and if her broke it he could kiss that night good bye but it seemed to just fall into his lap. She kissed him first. He pulled away not wanting to but showing her that he was trustworthy.

"Do you really wanna kiss me? I will not make a move on you unless you say I'm allowed to. I will respect my promise to you. Oh yeah and to answer your question, only one. I haven't felt this way about anyone else besides you." He smiled at her turning his face into her hand kissing her palm then running his hand up to hers he placed his hand on top and grabbed her hand.

"I do want to kiss you".

She wanted to do more then just kiss him though,she wanted to go further.Wait what was she thinking,she couldn't do that.After all she had just started to come out of her shell,taking her hand from his she sat up in the bed.Putting her hand to her head she sighed,after being such a cold hearted witch for so long and then just not too long ago broke out of her dark shell this was beginning to feel more stranger.

"I'm sorry I didn't........".

Sliding out of the bed once more,she gathered up her things and went towards the door.Opening it she left the room and started for the stairs,only stopping to strap her blades to her sides again.Tucking some stray hair behind her ear,she glanced back up towards the room.Was it wrong to just walk out on him like that,but she couldn't stop these emotions now that they we're coming to her.
